Norm's Other Honey

Norm’s Other Honey began about seventeen years ago in a firehouse in Norwalk, Connecticut. There, Lt. Norman Coté, the fire lieutenant in charge of one of the city’s five fire stations, put together his first frames and hives, which he set up in his home’s small backyard. Today, retired from the fire department, Norm is one of the best known and beloved beekeepers in Connecticut. He maintains about fifty hives in Connecticut and New York, both for himself and for his loyal customers. Norm provides services of hive maintenance and instruction, swarm removal, and of course, bee products such as honey and pollen. Norm has shared his expertise and his love for bees with countless students in classrooms, from pre-school to universities, here at home in New England and as far a field as Guatemala and Zimbabwe. Norm and his bees have also been seen nationwide on Martha Stewart’s Living, The Late Night with David Letterman Show, and Good Morning America. Usually, Norm is seen driving from hive to hive in his red pick-up truck, his smoker puffing away, with bees buzzing behind.
